Discipleship essentially centers around two things: The first is Jesus, into whose Spirit-filled life, death, and resurrection we are discipled. The second is the stories of our lives and the lives of all of those who respond to the invitation of Jesus to “come, follow me.” The concept of discipleship is the practice of bringing these two things together – discovering how the person of Jesus influences the stories and experiences of our lives as we live in response to the Holy Spirit, who guides us in the ways of Jesus.
